BOOKS TO EMPOWER YOUR DAUGHTER

As we kick off Women’s History Month, we reflect on the importance of empowering and inspiring the  little girls in our own lives. Throughout history, women have carved paths to reach great achievements, and made courageous moves to better themselves and the future for women. To this day we continue to welcome new strength and voices in the crusade for women’s successes and rights. Luckily, these strong women, current and past, have inspired many authors and illustrators to create beautifully bound books to honor their accomplishments so we have proof of how far we have come. 

Reading is so essential and starting a nightly routine with your little boy or girl!  at an early age helps develop their mind. It also helps advance their language skills, and teaches them to learn how to listen. We have come up with a list of some of our favorite books which we believe will inspire their imagination and empower them to be strong and brave.



• Rad American Women A-Z - A unique way to learn your ABCs. An A to Z list of great women spanning hundreds of years throughout American history. 

• Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls - 100 short, but informative bedtime stories about the bold and courageous women from the past and present. The illustrations of the women are worth framing themselves. 

• Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History - A children’s book featuring forty inspiring African American women who changed the world.

• Women in Science-Featuring fifty notable women who were trailblazers in math, engineering, tech, science, and more! Their contributions have helped shape ancient and modern times. 

• I am Helen Keller - A famed picture book biography series authored by a historian that highlights how helen Keller was a hero with inspiring messages and lessons.
